| Welcome to Stow House Hotel overlooking the Market Square of the historic hill top town of Stow-on-the-Wold
The 16th Century Manor house was converted into a hotel during the mid to late 1950's and has been owned and run by the same family since, which is now in its third generation.
Originally built as a private residence the building has also been used as the rectory, the church being next door, and more recently a school.
Although modernised the hotel has kept much of its old world charm; the residents lounge with its open stone fireplace with its crackling log fire, and the old bookcase that once concealed a secret room leading to a priest hole via an old spiral staircase, are just a few prime examples. This is an ideal base for those requiring a relaxing break exploring the Cotswolds with its beautiful rolling countryside and picturesque towns and villages, and not to mention the well known attractions such as Stratford Upon Avon, Oxford and Warwick, that are also within a forty five minute drive. The hotel is non-smoking throughout.
We do not cater for large parties, conferences or weddings.
Open to non-residents for Bar Lunch (Friday to Monday only) and Dinner in the Restaurant.
