| Recently restored, the New Inn has been described as the finest example of a medieval galleried Inn to be seen in Britain today. It was originally built by St Peters Abbey between 1430 and 1450 and replaced an earlier Inn, giving it the Title New Inn.
Situated right in the heart of Gloucester within walking distance of Gloucester Cathedral and the historic docks, the New Inn is the perfect place to stay. Fully licensed restaurant, comfortable rooms and a traditional Gloucester welcome.

The New Inn's carvery grill and restaurant is THE place to eat in Gloucester. Our Chef takes great pride in the creation of our traditional English Fare. The restaurant seats up to 80 and chefs specials and a full grill menu are available daily. The traditional atmosphere and wonderful beamed rooms make for an unbeatable place to eat.

The New Inn's real ale bar is The place to sample proper English beer.Guests enjoy up to 10 different cask ales and excellent bar snacks at our cosy Real Ale Bar. The traditional English furniture and antique bric - a - brac create a wonderful atmosphere. Among our other bars the Coffee shop is rightly popular with visitors and locals.
